Carlos Betancourt

The exhibition features new works by artist Carlos Betancourt; the occasion marks the first exhibition of the artist with the gallery and the first solo show in Miami after a long time. In the body of works exhibited, Betancourt explores the relation between popular culture and domestic objects. In celebration of nostalgia, Betancourt deconstructs longstanding traditions by repurposing thousands of holiday lights and tree toppers, composing new sculptural works that result in an explosive amalgamation of illuminated memories.
