Derrick Adams: Black White and Brown

Derrick Adams’ first solo show with Primary is an immersive installation highlighting key elements of the conceptual framework and genesis of the artist’s practice: works are installed in an immersive black and white graphic environment allowing the objects to stand in conversation with a bold Op-art interior space designed as their backdrop. The pieces incorporates geometric black and white patterns, with various shades of brown, making reference to the black body as a conduit or apparatus that adds to the performative mechanisms in the work.
