George Segal: Abraham’s Farewell to Ishmael

Pérez Art Museum Miami – PAMM, 1103 Biscayne Blvd., Downtown

George Segal began his practice of making plaster casts out of live models in 1961 and got a fame for his figurative sculptures. He made a series of works based on biblical stories from the Book of Genesis, including Abraham’s Farewell to Ishmael. With the support of a recent grant received through the Bank of America Art Conservation Project, Abraham’s Farewell to Ishmael is on view for the first time since a complete restoration.
