Haroon Mirza: A C I D G E S T

“A C I D G E S T” is a new work Pérez Museum commissioned Haroon Mirza for its double-height gallery. The installation consists in a specialized technical system that will transmit an electrical current through speakers and light-emitting diodes (LEDs) that act in coordination with one another so that different colors are activated by corresponding noise frequencies. The result is a choreographed experience of sound and light conveying a concrete poem the artist created, a dynamic installation that redefines our phenomenological experience of the space.
