Into the Wild
Miami Dade College (MDC) Galleries of Art + Design hosts Into the Wild, an exhibition of paintings that explore the theme of nature at the Kendall Gallery at MDC’s Kendall Campus. A meet the artists and curator, Carol Jazzar1 p.m., Oct. 3.
Nature was once our sole habitat and unique resource. The modern world is fast-paced and technology-driven, and so we lose our connection to each other and nature. This exhibition attempts to inspire a return to the natural state, to become more conscious of our decision and actions that affect us personally and have an impact on the environment.
Into the Wild features works by contemporary South Florida artists, including Scott Armetta, Elizabeth Condon, John Defaro, Lilian Garcia-Roig, Ernesto Kunde, Magnus Sodamin, Donna Torres, Typoe, and two master works by Augusto Chartrand Dubois and Miguel Arias.
