Lewis Hine: Social Justice and Child Labor

Lewis Hine was influential social documentary photographers of the 20th century known for his images of children toiling in factories. In 1908, the National Child Labor Committee commissioned Hine to document the condition of child labor in America: despite the difficult lighting and locations, he managed to capture the child’s exhaustion, pain, and anguish.
