Modern Masters

During the celebration of Art Basel, Miami Beach 2014 Gary Nader Art Centre presents the exhibition Modern Masters featuring selected artworks by renowned artists as Botero, Basquiat, Chagall, Di Cavalcanti, Figari, Fontana, Lam, Lichtenstein, Matta, Matisse, Miro, Morales, Pettoruti, Picasso, Rivera, Tamayo, Toledo, Torres-Garcia and Szyszlo, among others.

The event to not be missed, in the period of the exhibition,  is the  unveiling theModel and renderings of the Latin American Art Museum (LAAM) designed by well-known Mexican architect Fernando Romero. A group exhibition including important paintings, sculptures, drawings and other media from the museum’s permanent collection accompanies the debut of the LAAM model and architectural plan.

Featured artists are Angel Acosta Leon, Carlos Alfonzo, Pedro Alvarez, Cundo Bermudez, Angel Botello, Fernando Botero, Agustin Cardenas, Mario Carreño, Emiliano Di Cavalcanti, Carlos Enriquez, Walter Goldfarb, Oswaldo Guayasamin, Julio Galan, Ignacio Iturria, Wifredo Lam, Julio Larraz, Victor Manuel, Armando Mariño, Matta, Armando Morales, Guillermo Muñoz Vera, Alejandro Obregon, Amelia Pelaez, Rene Portocarrero, Carlos Quintana, Domingo Ramos, Betsabee Romero, Tomas Sanchez, Daniel Senise, Jesus Soto, Rufino Tamayo, Francisco Toledo, and Francisco Zuñiga, among others.

The LAAM will showcase the largest and most comprehensive Latin American collection with over 150 of the most important modern and contemporary artists from this region.

The museum aspires to be the most important venue in North America to showcase acclaimed Latin American Art and will be fully dedicated to foster knowledge by a continuous process of appreciation and reinterpretation of Modern and Contemporary art from Latin American and its diaspora.
