The collection includes vintage European and American photographers such as Albert Renger-Patzsch, August Sander, Alexander Rodchenko, Hugo Schmölz, Adolf Lazi, Helen Levitt, Lewis Hine, Berenice Abbott, Robert Frank, Lewis Baltz, Robert Adams and Dorothea Lange, among others. In addition, the archives feature contemporary photographers Alec Soth, Cindy Sherman, Gregory Crewdson, Justine Kurland, Danny Lyon, Thomas Struth, Andreas Gursky, Paolo Ventura, Stephen Shore, Joel Sternfeld, Thomas Ruff and Wael Shawky, among others.
Over 200 works of vintage and contemporary photography hang salon-style, from corner to corner and floor to ceiling in a renovated warehouse. The salon walls highlight photographs by many of the artists listed above, as well as Nina Katchadourian, Hank Willis Thomas, Stan Douglas, Carrie Mae Weems and Miles Coolidge, among others.
