Project Room: Fernanda Torcida and Gabrielle Baez

The project room is back to its original intentions: to offer a space for young artists to test the waters. In this occasion the gallery presents two artists: Fernanda Torcida and Gabrielle Baez.

Torcida is presenting a suite of photographs, which despite looking like portraits are far from the usual posed images. She is interested in capturing human nature at its truest, and her photographs portray people from different walks of life in spontaneous postures and situations.

Baez is presenting a couple of her trademark drawings. Her delicate renderings are a mixture of whimsical memories in which dreamlike elements populate the entire surface, making it difficult to separate elements taken from reality and those which are the fruit of her imagination.
