Superflex: We Are All in the Same Boat

The acclaimed Danish collective SUPERFLEX is featured in We Are All in the Same Boat, the first major exhibition dedicated to the artists in the United States. The show displays a various selection of both new works, commissioned by the museum, and a group of video, sculpture and installation pieces selected for their relevance to the history, present, and future of the City of Miami. The artist reflects upon the current situation in terms of art, finance, climate, and a fictional, if plausible, future, in order to generate discussion around migration, alternative energy, political awareness and financial crisis, among other themes. The exhibition at MDC’s Miami’s Freedom Tower marks also the American premiere of SUPERFLEX’s newest film, “Western Rampart” (2018).
