The Art of the Lithograph
The collective exhibition traces the history of the lithography process, from its beginnings to more recent technology. The exhibition path features pieces by significant contemporary and twentieth century artists, such as Alexander Calder, Marc Chagall, Jim Dine, Don Eddy, R.B. Kitaj, Lee Krasner, Roy Lichtenstein, Camille Pissarro and Robert Rauschenberg among the others, loaned by international institutions like The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The New York Historical Society, The Patricia & Phillip Frost Museum of Art, The Wolfsonian-FIU, The NSU Art Museum and Hebrew Union College. The Art of the Lithograph highlights iconic works and authors and presents an exhaustive itinerary through the evolution of this medium, from authentic lithography stones to LED UV lithography, showing as well the complex process of printing behind it.
