YoungArts Fall Residency Open Artist Studios
Four South Florida-based artists open their studios to the public for Miami Art Week as part of the Gallery Residency programme. Selected by MoMA PS1 Director Connie Butler in collaboration with YoungArts, the practices of Nina Osoria Ahmadi (2019 Visual Arts & U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts), Priscilla Aleman (2009 Visual Arts & U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts), Dani Amaro (2016 Voice), and Alberto Checa (2017 Visual Arts), are broadly distinguished by an interest in the body and the ways it holds history and memory, positioning their active studios in conversation with Ralph Lemon’s “Chorus (#2 Oculus)” and Otha Turner’s “Final Picnic”, simultaneously on view in the YoungArts Jewel Box.
