100×100 Achille

The exhibition celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Achille Castiglioni. The Achille Castiglioni Foundation invited some of the most widely acclaimed designers in the world asking them to choose a gift for Achille and send it to him with a personalised birthday card.

All 100 gifts are completely anonymous creations, just like those Castiglioni collected throughout his lifetime, chosen based on their function rather than on who designed them.  The objects differ in material and type, but are united by the innovotive concept of 100 objects representing the first collection for a “Museum of anonymous objects”, all by unknown artists and singled out by famous designers. All on display in the unique setting of Achille Castiglioni’s studio.
