1+1+1

Assab One presents the second edition of 1+1+1 by Elena Quarestani and curated by Marco Sammicheli, which explores the intercorrelation between art, architecture and design through the works of an architect, an artist and a designer.  They are invited to make new work for the vast space at Assab One. Christoph Hefti, the Swiss designer presents an installation, ‘That Horse, Slamming Doors’, which includes carpets, ceramics and other objects. A visual and tactile Installation, including bizarre sounds. Antoni Malinowski, London based Polish born Painter presents ‘Almost Seen’, a series of paintings and wall drawings examining the sensitivity of light and how it imposes itself in pictorial and architectural spaces. Finally ‘Johanna Grawunder’, the American architect creates binary paths of light and colour with ‘Alone Together’.

1+1+1 involves a series of lectures, educational activities and special openings.
