Aldo Rossi and Milan 1955 – 1995

Ordine degli Architetti PPC della Provincia di Milano, Via Solferino, 17

This show introduces a few chronological-thematic subjects in an exhibition spanning Aldo Rossi’s 40 years career path, from the 50ties to the 90ties. From his essay on the concept of tradition in Neoclassic architecture (1955) to the unrealized project for the Politecnico della Bovisa (1995), Rossi continued writing and designing keeping Milan at the centre of a discourse started in his formative years at the Politecnico di Milano, spreading in the different directions of his creativity – from theory to planning practice, from design to sketch.
