Alessandro Di Pietro: Felix

Marsèlleria presents Felix, the last of a four-episode series by Alessandro Di Pietro which has been developing since 2016. The project finds its end with Felix.

The four episodes follow a simple lexicon in response to the design of the spaces by creating proto narrative installations and developing “nameless” characters. The figure of the “nameless” is here directly attributable to the concept of monstrosity. “Nameless” is a being which is not subject to a normative process of cataloguing and classification.

The layout of the space becomes for Alessandro Di Pietro an act of identification in his research of the character. He takes the physical, social and political features and crystalises them in the space in order to establish a level of empathy and a potentional relationship with the observer.
