Anna-Bella Papp: A better view / A better layout / A better shower / Softer bed / Not so far from noise / More like home

The solo show by the Romanian artist exhibits a group of distinctly figurative works made of unfired clay, all of which have been created especially for this show. Her works combine abstraction and figuration, image and matter. They present reliefs inspired by the building workers and their tools, nearly metopes of a contemporary frieze. These works will be matched with more aniconic ones, in which you can still read elliptical references to architecture.

This show is part of the exhibition series “Project Room” at the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro, which is dedicated to supporting new generations of contemporary artists under 40, and observing didactic developments.
