Benni Bosetto: Rebecca

The exhibition “Rebecca” marks the first institutional solo presentation by Benni Bosetto and transforms the exhibition space into an immersive environment conceived as a domestic and imaginative landscape. Curated by Fiammetta Griccioli, the project brings together drawing, sculpture, installation and performance to explore the body, identity and forms of collective imagination.

Bosetto develops the exhibition as a space to inhabit, where rest, intimacy and daydreaming become central elements of the visitor’s experience. The project reflects on tensions between freedom and control, desire and productivity, proposing the act of daydreaming as a form of resistance to contemporary social pressures.

The exhibition unfolds through a sequence of interconnected environments structured around metaphorical parts of the body. At the entrance, the work “La bocca” introduces the exhibition, while the installation “Le cellule” covers the walls with hundreds of hand-drawn wallpaper strips that transform the architecture into a tactile surface.

Three main sections organise the space: “La guancia”, conceived as an environment dedicated to rest and contemplation; “La pancia”, a space of transformation featuring the new series “Le porte”; and “Il cuore”, which hosts the performance-installation “Tango (II version)”. Within these environments, Bosetto combines sculptural elements, drawings and performative actions to create a narrative structure in which bodies, objects and spaces merge into a fluid experiential landscape.
