Broken Nature: Design Takes on Human Survival

“Broken Nature: Design Takes on Human Survival” is the title of  the XXII Esposizione Internazionale della Triennale di Milano and it is curated by Paola Antonelli, Senior Curator at MoMA.

The showcase consists of a thematic exhibition and 22 Participations covering all continents offering a diversified proposal in terms of themes, perspectives, contexts and backgrounds. All the works are joint by the common thread of investigating the connections between men and nature and how they evolved over the years.

The thematic exhibition includes about one hundred projects from all over the world, spanning the history of design and ranging from iconic works to more recent ones by authors such as Alexandra FruhstorferDominique Chen, Pettie Petzer and Johan JonkerElemental and many others. “Broken Nature” also includes some pieces by Accurat, Formafantasma, Neri Oxman and Sigil Collective, specifically commissioned for the occasion.
