Charlotte Salomon: Life? or Theatre?

Palazzo Reale, Piazza del Duomo, 12, Milan, Italy

Curated by Fondazione Charlotte Salomon and Bruno Pedretti, the autobiographical exhibition gives an extensive insight into the most tragic scenario of last century throughout the artist’s life, having fled from Berlin to Nice before being arrested by the Gestapo and taken to Auschwitz, where she died. The Jewish artist entrusts the story of her life to hundreds of temperas, of which the exhibition shows a wide anthology.
