UNA and CASTIGLIONI present “Coming Soon”, a joint exhibition at via Lazzaro Palazzi 3, Milan, featuring works by Josep Maynou, presented by UNA, in dialogue with Bianca Millan, presented by CASTIGLIONI.

The exhibition explores the relationship between reality and fiction, presenting narratives in which the boundaries between the real and imagined dissolve. Josep Maynou combines performative practice with everyday objects to construct contemporary storytelling. His “Movie Posters” draw from an archive of unrealised films and are realised collaboratively, allowing invited contributors to reinterpret and add new layers, producing works dependent on context, exchange, and communal relationships. Titles such as “Gladiator”, “Morocco Stories”, “Wet Suit Couture” and “Le Chat qui fume” reflect the artist’s travels and experiences.

Maynou’s posters interact with Bianca Millan’s installation “A Good Year / Musical Chairs”, which combines sculpture, performance, and sound to make tangible invisible infrastructures of creative work. Millan, physically absent during the exhibition, feeds the space with her voice, files, and communications, creating a live, evolving archive. Beneath the surface, incised notes and annotations form a stratified, living material: what appears industrial is handcrafted, and what seems absent is omnipresent, reflecting the continuous flow between presence and absence in her practice.
