Dana Lok: Soft Fact

The solo show by the American Artist draws an analogy between a painting and a theatre set. She uses a forest landscape as a stage to investigate contrasts, such as flatness and depth, surface and content, point of view and vista. Thereby, she illustrates the relationship between illusion and fact, and further triggers the thought of images, photographies and artworks having properties usually attributed to statements: they can be true or false, they can mislead, they can tell lies, and they can make promises.
