Elena El Asmar: L’esercizio del lontano
The solo exhibition is part of a 12-month programme curated by BUILDING and Jean Blanchaert

BUILDINGBOX dedicates the 2019-2020 season to a twelve-month project focused on contemporary glass art. “Dalla sabbia, opere in vetro” (From Sand, Artworks in Glass) features 12 consecutive exhibitions by contemporary artists experimenting with this medium. The seventh exhibition is dedicated to Elena El Asmar and her site-specific installation, titled “L’esercizio del lontano”. Remembering her childish travels between Italy and Lebanon, El Asmar draws inspiration from the objects and furniture used in daily life in these countries, overlooking the Mediterranean basin.
“Dalla sabbia, opere in vetro” is curated by BUILDING in collaboration with Jean Blanchaert.
