Elena Mezzadra: Focus

The Museo del Novecento exhibit “Focus” dedicated to Elena Mezzadra springs from the willingness to pay a tribute to a ninety year old artist who proceeds tirelessly with her research, who continues painting according to her own style, always faithful but never identical to herself.

Preserving an incredible expressive strength despite the homogeneity of the colours and the accuracy of the brushstrokes, her non informal abstract art is almost obsessive: each new painting includes not only previous research, but also encompasses it.
