Elena Modorati: Paia

Progettoarte Elm in Milan presents a solo exhibition by Elena Modorati, the show Paia introduces for the first time Modorati’s new direction towards installation art. Her new works stem from the concept of the pair (paia), couple, relationship, the double, the duo – the elementary core of repetition and rhythm. She uses gauze, brass sheeting, marks on paper, mirrored surfaces and wax to reflect upon these ideas.

Her work in this show appears to have become more immediate and close to universal emotional experience, avoiding intellectualisation.
