Elena Von Hessen: Behaglichkeit

The site-specific intervention by Elena Von Hessen is the sixth in a series of initiatives called “My Room On Mars”, in which artists are invited to dialogue with the peculiarity of Milan Artist Run Space – MARS as an accidental white cube.

The intervention of Von Hessen in the space recalls the environment of an artist’s studio considered both as intellectual activity and as a space. The latter highlights the preparatory process of the artist’s practice, still based on an archive of images, in contrast with the immateriality of digital processes mainly used in current society.
