Elisa Sighicelli: As Above, So Below

The exhibition entrusts Elisa Sighicelli, a Turin-born artist of international renown, with the task of dialoguing with the sculptural works in the GAM depository.

A world of around 800 faces with which the artist measures herself, investigating the expressive potential of single works or groups, random juxtapositions, dictated by the space of a deposit that will soon be modified, thus making a world disappear.

It is that world that Sighicelli will make speak through a series of photographic images, a technique she uses in a complex experimentation, which in the past has declined ephemeral images and hard and stable materials, such as marble, whose installation in the museum rooms will succeed in restoring all its truth and power.
