Ever Astudillo: Latin Fire

Velo Project, Piazza Geremia Bonomelli 5

On the occasion of its upcoming April exhibition in Milan, Velo Project presents, for the first time in Italy, the work of Ever Astudillo, a key figure in the artistic scene of Cali during the 1970s and 1980s. Working between photography and drawing, Astudillo contributes, alongside Fernell Franco and Oscar Muñoz, to the renewal of Colombian visual culture of the period, with a sustained focus on the urban landscape and its peripheries.

The exhibition is accompanied by an intervention by filmmaker Virgilio Villoresi, who expands Astudillo’s imagery through a site-specific installation combining moving images and sound.
