Fabrizio Parachini: il volume a due dimensioni

Theca Gallery presents the new solo exhibition: “Fabrizio Parachini: The Volume in two Dimensions”. The exhibition is focused on the research about concept of painting and space lead by Fabrizio Parachini in his last years of work. The exhibition has a double goal: in one hand change the gallery’s space perception through the use of pure pigments and in the other hand create a non-objective art exhibition who interacts with the entire volume of the gallery. Fabrizio Parachini will shows some of his best artworks realized in the last ten years with some site specific artworks. Cover artwork is “Yellow Triptych” recently exhibited in the group show “B-Side & Rarities” hosted at Vilnius Art Fair (Lithuania). The show is completed by the works “Triptychs” and “Diptychs” in the different chromatic sequences, black, ochre.

The artworks installed at Theca Gallery are referred to three different moment: early works, recent works and site specific works created especially for the exhibition in Milan. Part of this ending production group is “Polyptych of 15 elements” in chromatic progression and linear disposition, a pair of big sized schafts “Vie di fuga” and the series “Pagine”, monochrome and polychrome, which for the first time are realized as an interaction between acetate and aluminium sheets. The exhibition is closed by the small sized artwork “Aleph 07” just 9,5×9,5cm. who as a Borges’s remembrance presents itself as an all-embracing black square on the wall, source of an absolute energy
absorption, space consumer/producer, archetype of the endless time.

The exhibition at Theca Gallery will be integrated with a catalogue realized specially for the occasion with an introductive text by the gallerist
and a critical essay by the curator. The volume is part of the gallery’s series “Quaderni Alphabet”.
