Museo del Novecento in Milan presents an exhibition dedicated to the works of Milanese artist Franco Mazzucchelli, “Art plays a social role which should never be commodified”: the exhibition demostrates the vital importance of this to the artist via a series of unseen works created between the mid-sixties and the late seventies.
During this period Mazzucchelli produced the famous “gonfiabili” (inflatables), which were left abandoned in town squares, in urban outskirts, parks or left in the hands of passers-by with both unconventional and unpredictable consequences.
