Frida Kahlo: Beyond The Myth

Museum of Cultures (MUDEC) of Milan presents an exhibition dedicated to the life and work of Frida Kahlo, including the artist’s oils, drawings, watercolours, letters and photographs.

The exhibition seeks to present the artist in a way like never before, demonstrating other less well know traits of hers, it brings to light Frida Kahlo as an political activist, the fact that she was aware of Diego Rivera’s influence on her painting and sought always to avoid it, that she had a keen interest in drawing. It also brings to life Kahlo’s witty and ironic side, as well as her otherworldly sensuality.
