Giò Ponti/ Sambonet. Il cuore dei Ponti per i Sambonet

The exhibition presents a collection of letters by Gio Ponti addressed to Roberto and his wife Luisa Bernacchi Sambonet, which show illustrations and drawings made by the artist. Greetings, requests for information, simple thoughts and memories provide an insight of the lively cultural relations that bind Sambonet to national and international artistic culture.

Architect, artist, and designer Gio Ponti is one of the great reference figures for architectural culture of the twentieth century. The so far unpublished designs contribute to the ongoing ascertainment of history of art and architecture of the late twentieth century.

The Roberto Sambonet fund has provided the letters and illustrations, which have been deposited at the CASVA (Centre for Advanced Studies of Visual Arts) in Milan.
