Leonardo Da Vinci: The archeology of “The Last Supper”

The focal point of this exhibition is one of the great works of Leonardo Da Vinci: “The Last Supper”. The work bares many visual images and symbols, characters and historical references, all of which will be explored in detailed within this exhibition. To do so, copies created through varies reproduction techniques after the work was painted, will be on display, accommodated by research and analysis made throughout history.

The exhibition at Castello Sforzesco is, in line with the exhibition “Andy Warhol: Sixty last Suppers” at Museo Novecento in Milan, part of the celebration series “Milano e l’eredità di Leonardo 1519-2019”, to honor the 5th century anniversary of Leonardo Da Vinci’s death in 2019.
