Born in 1970 in Shaanxi, China, Liu Ruo Wang creates art which draws upon its various cultural traits, whilst remaining firmly rooted in his personal journey through time and struggle. He glorifies the ordinary man by presenting him as an emblem of solidarity. With a mix of nostalgia, the artist subtly commands conceptual trails into the history and significance behind the rich heritage behind the industrialised modernity of his people.
