L’orecchio di Dioniso

The exhibition focuses on the act of listening, to defy the prevailing role of images in current society

Raffaella Cortese, Via Stradella 1, 4 and 7, Milan, Italy

Galleria Raffaella Cortese hosts a new exhibition, a special project inspired by the unique contemporary circumstances: “L’orecchio di Dioniso” (Dionysus’ Ear) defies the ever-growing visual culture based on the excessive proliferation of images. On the contrary, it proposes a new model, revolving around the act of listening. The artists Miroslaw Balka, Simone Forti, and Marcello Maloberti present three different sound installations in as many rooms of the gallery, to suggest a different possible experience within the art space.
