Marco Fusinato: The Only True Anarchy is That of Power

II PAC Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea presents the first European solo exhibition of Marco Fusinato, one of the most innovative artists and musicians on the international contemporary scene. Curated by Diego Sileo, the exhibition – promoted by the Comune di Milano-Cultura and produced by PAC in collaboration with Silvana Editoriale – showcases a selection of the artist’s most significant projects from recent years. It marks Fusinato’s return to Italy after representing Australia at the 59th Venice Biennale (2022).

Fusinato’s projects take the form of installations, photographic reproductions, performances, and recordings. He conceives his work as a succession of interconnected projects, some of which continue through multiple iterations. As a musician, he explores noise as music, using electric guitar and mass amplification to improvise frequencies that have a physical impact.

The PAC exhibition focuses on three ongoing projects that explore the theme of noise, inviting visitors to engage with a powerful visual and sonic universe. Among the works presented is DESASTRES – the monumental performance-installation first shown at the Venice Biennale in 2022 and performed for 200 consecutive days – in which sound and image collide and synchronize, creating a fully immersive, hallucinatory experience.
