Marta Pierobon: Shoes, Tongues and Cigarettes

Using a waiting room as an abstract location, the artist is examining the concept of identity within a site-specific installation for Fonderia Artistica Battaglia.

She is aiming at visualizing the mental dimension which arises within the moment of awaiting for something, creating awareness of one’s desires and one’s own thoughts. Marta Pierobon thereby refers to the various and often improbable moments of life in which one realizes or discovers specific things about one self, that are normally subconsciously hidden within.
