Michael Wang: Extinct in the Wild

For his exhibition at Fondazione Prada, the American artist Micheal Wang has conceived a space of survival: “Extinct in the Wild” aims to be a tool to fight the extinction of certain kind of plants and animals.

Along with the installation, the artist is showcasing a series of 20 photographs, which he took from 2014 to the present day, which portray different extinct in the wild species and the original habitats where they lived prior to their extinction in nature.
“Extinct in the Wild” is one of the three winning projects of “Curate Award”, an international competition promoted by Fondazione Prada and Qatar Museums.
