Milano // Dakar

The exhibition emerges from the exchange with the Espace Médina residency in Dakar, led by renowned Senegalese artist Moussa Traoré, in dialogue with mid-career Italian artist Alessandro Neretti/Nero, who has recently completed a research residency in the Senegalese capital.

The exhibition features a video by Senegalese photographer and documentary filmmaker Ibrahima Mbengue, capturing the artists’ research during their residencies at Viafarini in Milan.

Accompanying the project is a text by critic Niccolò Lucarelli, who, along with Eva Fabbris, Giulia Menegale, and Giacomo Pigliapoco, takes part in a research residency during the Dakar Biennale.
