New Craft

New Craft, part of XX1T, this year’s Milan Triennale is a project curated by Stefano Micelli.

The show aims at making visible the encounter between technologic innovation and craftmanship’s excellence. At the entrance of the cathedral of Fabbrica del Vapore there will be installed nine huge installations that will showcase the excellence in craftmanship. On the outside a huge area will be set up to showcase different realities of contemporary artisanal manufactoring.

The setting of the exhibition is by the Geza Studio: in the center of the Fabbrica del Vapore a large work table from the iconic shape “X”, the heart of the exhibition, which is a meeting table and creation, as well as support video projection and graphical information, where during the months of opening of the exhibition, workshops and objects will be created,
At the entrance of the Cathedral of the Fabbrica, 9 great textural vertical installations show 9 craftsmanship excellence. On either side of the Cathedral a wide area MultiLab welcomes several contemporary handicraft reality.
