Ritratti entro uno specchio convesso

The exhibition “Ritratti entro uno specchio convesso” (“Portraits within a Convex Mirror”), curated by Alessandro Castiglioni, creates a temporal short circuit. A series of interstitial works inhabit the historic rooms of the Fondazione Adolfo Pini, telling the stories of imaginary portraits and self-portraits that silently weave into the spaces, furniture, and artworks of the house. Drawings, sculptures, photographs, and videos, acting as subtle interferences, offer a new way to experience the freshly renovated spaces. They open up reflections on the dialogue between art and time, from a non-linear perspective where fragments, reflections, and marginalia are carefully observed.
