Roberto De Pinto: Ostinato

The exhibition centres on the work of Roberto de Pinto, whose practice develops around a recurring figure that functions as a constant motif, continuously reinterpreted across different works. This presence, shaped by but distinct from the artist’s own features, appears as a character undergoing transformation, suggesting an ongoing exploration of identity.

Drawing on the idea of the “ostinato” as a repeated structure subject to variation, the exhibition presents painting as a process of inquiry, where continuity and change coexist. Oil paint plays an increasing role alongside encaustic, contributing to effects that evoke a tactile, skin-like quality.
