Rosa Barba: Tangible kinships
Vistamare presents “Tangible kinships”, the second solo exhibition by Rosa Barba at the gallery’s Milan location. The display showcases a new body of work that explores the artist’s long-standing investigation into cinema, treating film not only as a medium for image-making but as a complex physical system.
This approach incorporates elements of light, projection, performance, and spatial interaction. Central to the exhibition is the film “Charge”, which is being shown in Italy for the first time following its 2025 premiere at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. The surrounding works are positioned to engage in a multi-layered dialogue with this cinematic piece, examining the intersection between the tangible and the projected.
