Sempering
The exhibition, part of XX1T, is centred on the word Sempering itself.
The term, in Architecture, indicates a constructive action on a material or on a component that leaves a significant formal trace in the final product.
Sempering look at architecture, landscapes, user last decade objects exceeding the boundaries defined for each possible system of the arts, of any separation in skills and sectors. Actions such as stacking heavy materials, connect lightweight structures, shaping soft materials, engrave thin wrappers, fold sheets, braiding wire, dial plugs or air blowing can be seen as the primary acts capable of inventing unexpected forms in the light of new technologies, but also as verification of ‘customs’ or sedimented formal customs in comparison with new conditions.
