The Restaurant

In the former church of San Paolo Converso in Milan, the Converso exhibition space presents a new video, The Restaurant by the artists Will Benedict & Steffen Jørgensen, a fable based on our own “metabolic moral economy, a world-inside-a-stomach populated by embodied libidinal forces both earthly and celestial.”

The Restaurant begins with the food experience, where are most our most basic metabolic process becomes metaphor for global inequality. Benedict & Jørgensen’s fable tells us that we are no longer eating to provide energy and so it seems, it is our faeces (the consequences of our actions) in charge.
