Travelogue: Stories of Journeys, Migration and Diaspora

The exhibition, curated by Katya Inozemtseva and Sara Rizzo, highlights the genesis of MUDEC’s collections as a reflection of the city’s history. Part of Milan’s civic museum heritage since their inception, these collections were formed from a selection of “exotic” artefacts brought from different parts of the world by citizens, businessmen, travellers, and researchers. They comprise travel-related objects—souvenirs that reflect a particular relationship between the collector and the artefact.
