Trisha Baga: the eye, the eye and the ear
The first exhibition in Italy of the American artist Trisha Baga.
The American artist Trisha Baga presents her work for the first time in an Italian institution, in Milan. The exhibition “the eye, the eye and the ear” spans her fifteen-year career from her first work “There’s No “I” in Trisha” (2005 – 2007), a sort of TV sitcom challenging gender stereotypes, until the most recent one “1620” (2020), produced specifically for the occasion. On view also a big video installation, a selection of pottery and the series “Seed Paintings”, realised of sesame seeds.
Artist and video maker, Trisha Baga combines different media to reflect around themes such as gender identity and the relation between reality and the digital world. The whole experience is highly interactive and the public is invited to visit the exhibition wearing 3D stroboscopic sunglasses.
