Twenty years and…

Mimmo Scognamiglio Artecontemporanea presents the opening of the exhibition “20 years and…”.

On December 2015 occurs the 20-years anniversary of Mimmo’s own gallery, althought his career began in 1985 as assistant of Lucio Amelio. The exhibition aims to tell this long story through the workpieces of 12 artists who have shared their journey – not ended yet – with Mimmo.
New works will be presented for the first time in this show by either young and established artists, here listed in alphabetic order: Maddalena Ambrosio, Domenico Bianchi, Daniel Canogar, Antony Gormley, Jannis Kounellis, Joerg Lozek, Jason Martin, Max Neumann, Mimmo Paladino, Jaume Plensa, Franco Rasma and Chiharu Shiota.
“20 years and…” is also the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new gallery space, since Mimmo Scognamiglio Artecontemporanea has left via Ventura to move in via Goito 7, in the very center of Milan.
For the occasion will be published a catalog in which will be narrated his meeting and anecdotes that have characterized his relationship with the art world during these years, the thoughts written by the artists and the images of the works displayed in the show.
After 20 years it comes a new begin.
