Napoli, altrove
Attiva Cultural Projects presents “Napoli, altrove” curated by Sonia Belfiore, features Nicola Baratto, Gaia De Megni, Daniele Di Girolamo, Valentina Furian, and Elena Mazzi.
The exhibition opens on Friday, 5 December at 5 pm at Villa Pignatelli di Monteleone, Corso Sirena 7, Barra, East Naples, marking the reopening of this historic villa. Designed by Ferdinando Sanfelice and completed by Ferdinando Fuga, the Villa has been restored and redeveloped by Antur Srl Benefit and now returns as a space for culture and experimentation.
“Napoli, altrove” explores the relationship between art, territory, and memory, placing the history and identity of Naples’ suburbs in dialogue with the artistic visions of five contemporary artists active in Italy and internationally. Through moving-image works, the exhibition transforms the Villa into a space of observation and encounter, where art becomes a tool for connection and discovery.
The exhibition is promoted and funded by the Municipality of Naples as part of the 2025 contemporary art programme and runs until 20 December 2025. Free guided tours will be offered on 8, 13, and 18 December. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 11:00–16:00, and Saturday to Sunday, 10:00–18:00, with free entry.
