Patricia Domínguez: Il cavallo bianco, gravido
The White Horse, Pregnant by Patricia Domínguez explores the collision between ancestral knowledge and the extractive logic of late capitalism. The exhibition asks: what happens when ancient cosmologies encounter corporate structures? Is it merely a clash, or can something entirely new emerge in the interstitial space between these worlds? The work invites visitors into a liminal, symbiogenic realm that defies clear categories of tradition and modernity, nature and technology, sacred and profane.
Domínguez’s cybernetic altars create immersive ecosystems where snakes coexist with drones, and pre-Columbian artefacts interact with techno-industrial imaginaries through acts of improbable, almost sacrilegious kinship. Dedicated to Water, Earth, Animals, Plants, and the Invisible, these sanctuaries do not merely present alternate worlds—they cultivate conditions for mutual transformation. Through rigorous ethnobotanical research, Domínguez enacts what she describes as a strategic withdrawal from the digital trap in favour of alliances across species, enabling access to planetary memory and its generative, ancient wisdom.
The exhibition is a space of reflection and encounter, inviting visitors to engage with a vision of the world where interconnection, hybridity, and ecological imagination become the guiding principles of artistic creation.
